Bees are a big deal at our house. Honeybees are having a hard time staying alive lately, so we do what we can to provide a safe haven for them. We plant lots of bee-friendly flowers and we never, ever swat them if they find their way into our home!
Bernie likes bees too!
Last year, Cheerios sponsored a Save The Bees program. They took Buzz the bee off of the front of the Honey Nut Cheerios boxes and gave away over one million packages of flower seeds. Buzz is back and we hope that now more people will help save the bees.
Bernie is happy to use his bee for a pillow (that way Spike can’t get it while he is sleeping).
We are writing a Bernie book that will help teach children that bees are very important.
