Bernie Loves Fall!
Bernie has never been a big fan of summer. He gets too hot easily, and prefers cool or cold weather! He loves when the days start getting chilly and he runs around our yard like a little puppy.
In Northeast Ohio, our fall days can feel like summer….or winter!
Bernie’s favorite days are when the temperature is just right to leave our back door open so he can run in and out.
He loves the fall festivities like pumpkin carving and trick-or-treat.
Bernie’s squirrel friends also love this time of year. He has a full-time job being on squirrel duty! They like to come up on our deck and eat the bird’s sunflower seeds, but Bernie does a great job of keeping them in their trees.
This silly toy is one of Bernie’s favorites. It has been repaired several times because Spike loves to pull the fluff out of it.
We love seeing pictures of the Bernie books in the Doctor’s waiting room. Thank you, Dr. Rogers!

Squirrel Shenanigans
One of Bernie’s favorite activities is playing with his squirrel friends. He always looks for them as soon as he goes out in the backyard. Sometimes, when he is inside, the squirrels come up on our deck to look for him!

Puppies like Bernie need regular grooming. With that being said, our work schedules sometimes wreak havoc on Bernie’s grooming schedule and his hair goes out of control. Like, seriously out of this universe crazy.
Bernie’s Television Debut
Bernie has been a busy puppy since his first book was published! In September, he had his first television interview. Mike Case came to our house to tape a segment for Valley Spotlight, a show that focuses on positive stories and events in our area.
Bernie’s Favorite Treat
Bernie loves going for car rides. Especially if we are going somewhere other than the vet!
Bernie The One-Eyed Puppy is Published!
Five years ago I had the idea to write “Bernie books”. Not just one, but a whole series. The stories played out in my mind and in the minds of my family and friends. I’ve talked to anyone who would listen about my ideas – huge dreams and plans. Finally, after all these years, the first Bernie book is published and available worldwide on Amazon!
